Kelsey Rice

Executive Director

Kelsey graduated from Auburn University, majoring in Human Development and Family Studies with a minor in Nonprofit and Philanthropy Studies. She has been a part of our team since November 2015. War Eagle!












Assistant Program Director

Danielle joined the team in 2014. She was a volunteer for a year, then fell in love with the job and the horses. She is now PATH Certified Instructor. She has always been passionate about children and adults with special needs and horses and loves trail riding with her horse.






Mandy Trolard


Mandy is a Birmingham, AL native and has over 30 years of experience with horses. She discovered her love for teaching others about horses in 2004 when she started teaching lessons in California. After witnessing first hand the effects that equine therapy had on one of her own children, she earned her CHA-IRD certification and enjoys helping others find joy through horses.








Hannah Sumner

Volunteer Coordinator

Hannah has been a part of our team since 2015. She volunteered for us until she decided that she wanted to help our program out as more than just a volunteer. Hannah has a passion for working with children with disabilities and is currently working on her Bachelor's Degree in Special Education. She is currently a student at WSCC taking classes to transfer to Athens next Fall. War Eagle! 








Missy Blaylock

Activities Director

Missy has a degree in Therapeutic Recreation from the University of Alabama. She is a charter member of the board of Hope Horses and has been our Activities Director since day one. She is married and has 3 children."I personally feel that 'having fun' at Hope Horses is very therapeutic and educational. That's what we strive to do every day at Hope."
